Bright Eyes (Disenchanted)

At some point when we're growing up, we lose that sense of wonder that children have. Bright Eyes (Disenchanted) is about the contrast of how we feel as children and how we feel as adults. Sometimes that sense of wonder comes back temporarily, and those are good days.

Lyrics

Bright eyes
The world's a present to unwrap
Bright eyes
Imagination fills the gaps
Your sense of wonder will carry you through
I'd like to share it with you.

Bright eyes
Use every color in the box
Bright eyes
You still believe in Fox in Socks
Your sense of wonder will carry you through
I'd like to share it with you.

I'm getting lost in the work and spend
I'm disenchanted and bored
To take a risk .... I fear the consequence
Oooo

Bright eyes
A stranger's smile can make you laugh
Bright eyes
Popping bubbles in the bath
Your sense of wonder will carry you through
I'd like to share it with you.

I'm feeling numb and short of time
I'm disillusioned and worn
To take a risk .... I fear the consequence
Ooooo
